Meet Our Team
Jiné is a self-described Chingachgook kid, whose love of the outdoors all started with her experience as a camper in the Adventure program here at Chingachgook. From that trip on, Jiné spent every summer on the lake. Jiné loves working with staff and campers to carry on the traditions that make Chingachgook the best place to spend a summer! She has worked in the camp and outdoor recreation industry seasonally and full-time for more than 15 years and is passionate about the Capital District YMCA’s mission, especially its commitment to equity.
Jiné is originally from Albany, NY, a graduate of Ithaca College, and previously worked for the American Camp Association, New England. Jiné enjoys boating, hiking, photographing the beautiful Adirondacks, jumping off the rope swing, and watching the perfect #skybluepink sunsets over Lake George.
Summer Camp & Operations Director
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Lee started his YMCA career 19 years ago while on a work experience trip as part of his Diploma in Outdoor Leadership. YMCA Shakespear Lodge took Lee on to support the Auckland Y’s version of summer camp and he never could have imagined how this experience would impact his future career.
Lee has worked for 6 different YMCA associations in New Zealand, Australia, and the USA. His last role was with the YMCA of Northern Utah as the Director of Camping from 2019 - 2023. In this role, Lee oversaw overnight camps YMCA Camp Roger & YMCA Mill Hollow, Adventure Trips through the Salt Lake BOLD and GOLD Program, and the YISKI program.
The YMCA values are dear to Lee's heart and he is passionate about wellness and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) in the operations he oversees. Lee believes in the value and power of connecting youth and young adults from different backgrounds into beautiful landscapes & believes the Y camp experience is critical to the development of our young people.
When not working hard to impact youth through camp programs, Lee enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda & dog Kayla! He can't wait to meet the extended Chingachgook family and learn more about the beautiful Adirondack region he now calls home!
Community & Adventure Programs Director
Ean Addison is excited to join the Chingachgook team as the Community and Adventure Programs Director. Ean is thrilled to be part of this wonderful camp family, and cannot wait to meet everyone and dive into the camp traditions and Lake George community.
Ean comes from a small town called Poolesville, Maryland, where he developed his love for the outdoors and camping. As a kid, Ean spent ten years at his local day camp, and has been hooked ever since.
Over the years, Ean has gained professional camp experience in various roles, from being a CIT/Counselor to Camp Director for camps in Maryland, Delaware, California, and Hawaii. After completing his education at NYU, Ean became the Day Camp and Family/Retreats program director for the YMCA of Honolulu's Camp Erdman in 2022. Ean fell in love with the Y's vision of camp as a year-round experience for kids and sought an opportunity closer to his family on the East Coast, which spurred his relocation to upstate NY to begin this new role.
As the Community and Adventure Programs Director, Ean promises to be an honest, passionate, and accountable leader who will respect and honor tradition while helping to continue the Camp Magic we all love so much.
In his free time, Ean is an avid sports fan and participant. He enjoys playing basketball, football, swimming, hiking, and doing yoga. His favorite activities at camp are playing Gaga, all-camp games, and campfires.
Carol began working at Camp Chingachgook in 2004 and has been the heartbeat of our office ever since. Almost every family that attends Chingachgook has spoken to Carol prior to their arrival or on the opening day of summer camp.
Carol loves to hike, kayak and boat on Lake George during the summer months, and ski and snowshoe in the winter. When you give Chingachgook a call, be sure to say ‘hi’ to Carol!
