Jiné is a self-described Chingachgook kid, whose love of the outdoors all started with her experience as a camper in the Adventure program here at Chingachgook. From that trip on, Jiné spent every summer on the lake. Jiné loves working with staff and campers to carry on the traditions that make Chingachgook the best place to spend a summer! She has worked in the camp and outdoor recreation industry seasonally and full-time for more than 15 years and is passionate about the Capital District YMCA’s mission, especially its commitment to equity.

Jiné is originally from Albany, NY, a graduate of Ithaca College, and previously worked for the American Camp Association, New England. Jiné enjoys boating, hiking, photographing the beautiful Adirondacks, jumping off the rope swing, and watching the perfect #skybluepink sunsets over Lake George.

Ean is thrilled to be part of this wonderful camp family, and cannot wait to meet everyone and dive into the camp traditions and Lake George community. Ean comes from a small town called Poolesville, Maryland, where he developed his love for the outdoors and camping. As a kid, Ean spent ten years at his local day camp, and has been hooked ever since.

Over the years, Ean has gained professional camp experience in various roles, from being a CIT/Counselor to Camp Director for camps in Maryland, Delaware, California, and Hawaii. After completing his education at NYU, Ean became the Day Camp and Family/Retreats program director for the YMCA of Honolulu's Camp Erdman in 2022. Ean fell in love with the Y's vision of camp as a year-round experience for kids and sought an opportunity closer to his family on the East Coast, which spurred his relocation to upstate NY to begin this new role.

As the Senior Program & Camp Director, Ean promises to be an honest, passionate, and accountable leader who will respect and honor tradition while helping to continue the Camp Magic we all love.

In his free time, Ean is an avid sports fan and participant. He enjoys playing basketball, football, swimming, hiking, and doing yoga. His favorite activities at camp are playing Gaga, all-camp games, and campfires.

Summer Program Director

Erin is so excited to be stepping up into the role of Summer Program Director! Her time at Chingachgook began in 2009 as a shy, young kid who begged to go to summer camp and she has spent her summers at Chingachgook ever since!

Camp showed Erin her love for the outdoors and her passion for working with children. While summers were spent on the lake, the rest of the year was spent studying Elementary Education earning a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.A. from Sacred Heart University. Erin feels grateful to have had so many opportunities to bring her background in education to Chingachgook in both our summer and outdoor education programs, and feels very passionate about creating valuable experiences for children beyond the traditional classroom!

In her free time, Erin loves to be outside. On the warm summer days, she loves nothing more than sailing on Lake George or going off the rope swing! Erin is so excited to work with all of the staff and campers as the Program Director to carry on the magic and traditions of such a special place!

Carol began working at Camp Chingachgook in 2004 and has been the heartbeat of our office ever since.  Almost every family that attends Chingachgook has spoken to Carol prior to their arrival or on the opening day of summer camp.

Carol loves to hike, kayak and boat on Lake George during the summer months, and ski and snowshoe in the winter.  When you give Chingachgook a call, be sure to say ‘hi’ to Carol!
