Meet Our Team

Jiné Andreozzi
Executive Director
Jiné is a self-described Chingachgook kid, whose love of the outdoors all started with her experience as a camper in the Adventure program here at Chingachgook. From that trip on, Jiné spent every summer on the lake. Jiné loves working with staff and campers to carry on the traditions that make Chingachgook the best place to spend a summer! She has worked in the camp and outdoor recreation industry seasonally and full-time for more than 17 years and is passionate about the Capital District YMCA’s mission, especially its commitment to equity.
Jiné is originally from Albany, NY, a graduate of Ithaca College, and previously worked for the American Camp Association, New England. She also volunteers for the Lake George Land Consevancy and is loves opportunities that allow her to help connect all people to the outdoors!
In her free time, Jiné enjoys boating, hiking, photographing the beautiful Adirondacks, jumping off the rope swing, and watching the perfect #skybluepink sunsets over Lake George.

Maddy Vaver
Interim Summer Camp Director
Hello Camp Chingachgook Community! My name is Maddy, and I’m so excited to be the interim Camp Director for the summer. I was a camper at Chingachgook from 2006-2009, and I still have magical, vivid memories of color wars, canoe races, three-day hikes, and campfires on Lake George. I even remember what I learned in my skill classes; I can still tie most of the knots that they taught us in sailing class when I was eight years old.
I spent a decade attending YMCA camps as both a camper and counselor, so I understand the crucial role that our staff play in mentoring and supporting children. As a camper, I had counselors who were amazing role models and inspired me to be my most authentic and kind self. As a counselor, I had supervisors who mentored me as I navigated having a job for the first time. I can’t wait to create that same culture of support and care this summer.
Since my time at camp, I’ve been living in the great city of Philadelphia, where I run political campaigns, sing in a band, and attend a master’s program at the University of Pennsylvania. Through this wide variety of experiences, I’ve learned a lot about managing operations that have many moving parts, motivating individuals as they persevere through challenges, and being responsive and communicative to staff and families. I love to create community wherever I go, and Camp Chingachgook is the best community of all! This is going to be an amazing summer, and I cannot wait to meet everyone!

Anna Madison
Community Programs &
Adventure Director
Anna joined our full-time team in February 2025 and has spent the past decade working for various outdoor education and recreation organizations, including Philmont Scout Ranch, NYC Parks & Recreation, Lime Hollow Nature Center, and NY State Parks.
Anna received a B.A. in studio art and mass communication from UNC Asheville. She completed an M.S. in recreation for environmental and outdoor education at SUNY Cortland in 2024. During her time in graduate school, Anna worked as a Graduate Assistant for the university's Recreation, Parks, and Leisure Studies department.
As a lifelong lover of all things outdoors, she enjoys sharing her fondness of the natural world with others and believes that nature is for everyone. She is so excited to be part of the Chingachgook team and this special community!

Erin O'ConnellOffice Manger/Registrar
Erin's time at Chingachgook began in 2009 as a shy, young kid who begged to go to summer camp, and she has spent her summers at Chingachgook ever since!
Camp showed Erin her love for the outdoors and her passion for working with children. While summers were spent on the lake, the rest of the year was spent studying Elementary Education earning a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.A. from Sacred Heart University. As Erin gets ready to return to the classroom this Fall, she is excited for a chance to see Camp from a new angle and help fill the role as registrar for the summer since Carol has retired.

In her free time, Erin loves to be outside. On the warm summer days, she loves nothing more than sailing on Lake George or going off the rope swing! Erin is so excited to work with all of the staff and campers as the Program Director to carry on the magic and traditions of such a special place!

Dusty Pratt
Property & Maintenance Director
With over 15 years of experience at YMCA Camp Chingachgook, Dusty brings deep knowledge, dedication, and heart to his role as Property and Maintenance Director. A local to the Lake George area, he began his journey at camp in food service and has since become an integral part of ensuring the safety, functionality, and beauty of camp year-round.

Known for his keen attention to detail and strong work ethic, Dusty takes great pride in maintaining the facilities and grounds that make Chingachgook such a special place for campers and staff alike. For him, it’s more than just a job—it's about giving back to a place that feels like home.

Dusty, his wife, and their two children are proud to call Camp Chingachgook home. When he’s not keeping camp running smoothly, you’ll likely find him boating or fishing with his family, walking their dog, or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys during football season.

Katie Johnson
Food Service Director
Katie became the Food Service Director in the summer of 2022 and before 2020, she was our morning shift supervisor in the kitchen for 10 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to this vital area of camp! Although never a camper at Chingachgook growing up, Camp is now where Katie calls home, and loves every minute of her job! Katie grew up right around the corner in Hudson Falls, NY, and graduated from Adirondack Community College's Culinary Arts Department in Queensbury.
Katie has dedicated her career to bettering her culinary abilities and working herself up the culinary ladder. She takes pride in keeping up to date on culinary trainings and certifications to better understand all aspects of various cooking styles (gluten-free, Vegetarian, Vegan, etc.). She holds ServSafe Certifications in both Food Protection Management and Allergens and is ready to help accommodate the dietary needs of all campers and guests!

In her free time, she enjoys time with her teenage daughter Malarie, who has been a camp kid since her mom started! Together, they love the camp life and along with their dog, Sebastian, they enjoy hiking, swimming, long walks, & amazing sunsets!
